  Very happy with the girls at Element Luxe Hair Studio. Owner did a great job colouring my hair to my specifications, and she nailed it! The other girls were as pleasant, friendly and professional when they washed, cut and blow dried my long hair. Have been here twice and I'll be back!

  I found this fabulous salon via an online recommendation when I was looking for a hair colourist in the Blue Mountains. I couldn’t be happier. The salon has a great atmosphere, exudes professional service from the entire team and has a fabulous massage chair as an extra treat. But the best part is the hair colouring skill and talent of Caitlin. That original online review was correct - she is the best colourist in the Blue Mountains. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

  Had a really poor experience here recently. I booked online, specifically selecting 'senior stylist' as the option as I wanted an overall dark colour (I'm already dark so just a touch up) and some blonde face framing highlight pieces, plus a shaggy layered cut. They called to readjust my appointment time to ensure we had enough time, great. They didn't mention I'd been moved to a junior stylist or anything. Though it became very apparent when I got there that the girl who was cutting my hair was new and had literally no idea what she was doing, she had to ask for help every step of the way from the other stylist (who was busy with customers so assistance was very rushed) she also kept trying to talk me out of what I wanted (I think that's too much of a change, I don't think we should do such a big chop etc)
  So I ended up with a haircut that was nothing like I wanted (even had pictures for her to reference)
  Not to mention the colour which was awful, a horrible orange/brown instead of blonde (inexperienced lightning on dark hair plus they coloured it instead of toning it. I have had dark to blonde several times in my life all of with experienced colourists and the desired outcome has always been achieved)
  At this point I had been there for around 5 hours and had told the stylist numerous times throughout the day that I had to be out by 2:45pm so given that it was 2:40pm by the time I got to the counter to pay (after having to tell her again that I needed to go to work and she didn't have time to style my hair) I expressed my disappointment and they offered to book me in to correct the cut, which I accepted and then promptly burst into tears as soon as I left. I cancelled the "fix up" appointment out of fear they would ruin it even further. All this cost $330+ not to mentioned the products I purchased myself to fix it. Inexperienced stylists. I'm sure it's a fine place if you just need a trim or a wash, but my experience was disappointing and I was quite upset by the ordeal. No offer of a refund or even an apology. All my family and friends couldn't believe the mess I'd been left with and the state of my hair and encouraged me to leave my feedback in case others are thinking of going here for anything other than a trim.

  Hayley was truly exceptional in squeezing me in for a much-needed wash and blow dry, and was so kind in helping me through a difficult time. I walked out feeling like a new woman. Thank you for providing such an amazing and caring service when I needed it the most!

  Caer did a blow dry and style for me for a wedding. I have very thin hair and she gave me the most beautiful style with heaps of volume. Girls were lovely and great customer service. Would recommend 100%

  They put colour put on my hair and I was left with the colour on my hair for two hours. I'm a shy person so it was hard for me to say "hey I really think you should wash this off now" as I already have thin hair, so I was starting to worry that leaving colour on for so long would be damaging...I wish I had spoken up and told them to wash it off earlier, because my hair is still recovering. The colour was left on for too long.. they kept cutting other peoples hair, about five different people, some of them walk ins, ignoring me....before finally getting back to me to wash it off. Once it was washed off my hair turned a dark shade of brown when we had discussed a light shade of red. Again.. too shy to say "this is not on". When I got home my hair was not only the wrong colour but was in such bad condition it started snapping off at the ends and continued to snap off even with protein treatments... I am getting married and I now have to get $800 worth of extensions because my hair has still not recovered and took months to become healthy again, it still has these random short clumps from where it snapped off when I got home. I never normally write reviews like this, and I am not resentful or anything and everyone makes mistakes, hairdressers work very hard, I believe this was a one off mistake, so I'm not saying nobody should go there.... I have actually been a hairdresser before...but I am simply writing this n the hope that the staff pay more attention to the time they leave a colour on for even if the client is new. If hair is fine, colour shouldn't be left on for hours on end. It really felt like they just didn't care.. or had forgotten about me. Thank you...
